Experience the joyful music of Shanren - literally "mountain men." Hailing from ethnic minority groups who live in the beautiful mountains of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, this Chinese folk-fusion band presents the rich but largely unknown heritage of Southwestern China.
Through original compositions and traditional songs, the four musicians fuse their indigenous music with modern styles from around the globe. Since its founding in 2000, Shanren has earned critical and popular acclaim at major music festivals in China, Indonesia, New Zealand, Japan, Australia, Canada, and Spain.
